Learning to sleep in its simplest sense means teaching your child to sleep well. The sleep training method is the only strategy or technique used during the process. Baby sleep training is not the same as the normal sleep process.
Many parents believe that sleep training means making your baby cry and ignoring his needs, which is far from the truth. Any good sleep consultant knows that sleep training means focusing primarily on the child's needs because that's the only thing that matters.
The needs of the child should always come first, as this is the only way the sleep solution works. Patting is just an asleep training method for many people, and while it can be effective under the right circumstances, it's understandable that it's the least used and the least popular with parents and sleep counselors in general.
There are a number of sleep training methods that are scientifically proven how to train your child to adapt, and these are not "rockets". The fact is, traction is on one end of the spectrum and the softest approach is on the other, with a middle ground between street strategies in between.
Unfortunately, there is a huge misunderstanding in the parenting world (especially mothers) about what is meant by sleep education, which has basically grown with the advent of the internet and social media. Unfortunately, this means parents are deeply misinformed and reluctant to seek help when they need it most.
